Σκοπός της ενότητας αυτής είναι η εισαγωγή στον ψηφιακό ήχο. Εξετάζονται (α) βασικές έννοιες του ψηφιακού ήχου (ψηφιοποίηση, κωδικοποιητές, φορμά) και (β) το κανάλι επεξεργασίας ήχου.
